This array of metal flower frogs are vintage treasures. There are three sizes available. They were once popular for placing flower in precise locations on arragements.
Did you know? The history of flower frogs is thought to date back to the 14th century when Japanese florists used them for arrangements that required exact placement, or Ikebana. They became popular in the 1920s and 30s with housewives looking to create those 'perfect' arrangements.
In recent years, they have become popular again as a more sustainable option for flower arrangements.
Condition:
Metal flower frogs are in varying conditions. The large green No. 3 frog is in great condition with the lettering still visible on the back. The other two show more signs of wear consistent with age and use. See photos for examples.
Measurements: Large: 2 5/8in diameter, Medium: 1 1/8in diameter, Small: 1 1/2in diameter
