It doesn't get more primitive and authentic than this wooden beehive thread bobbin.
Did you know? Bobbins like this were used to manage thread or yarn for weaving or sewing. Most mills had a preference for the shape of their bobbins, which accounts for the variety we see today. The bobbin and its machinery helped revolutionize the textile manufacturing industry during the Victorian Era. Wooden bobbins were prevalent during the mid-1800s to the mid-1900s.
Condition: The piece has no major cracks, minor chipping and wear consistent with the age and use. See photos for samples.
Measurements: 8in tall and 2.5in diameter.
