This beautiful piece is still a bit of a mystery to me. As far as I've found, it is a cast iron decorative trim piece with the brand name, 'Crown.' Possibly on the cover of an old boiler.
The lettering and stars are in great, visible condition, and the piece would look great displayed on the wall or added to an old door or table for a bit of character.
Condition:
The cast iron piece is in good condition with no cracks or chips. It does show significant rusting consistent with its age and use. The letter and stars in great shape with minimal wearing. See photos for examples.
Measurements:11 1/4in wide, 3 1/8in tall.
