The timeless elegance from this vintage brass coal scuttle (or bucket) is evident from the clawfoot base all the way up to the lion head features, right up to the blue and white procelian handle. There's nothing about this piece that doesn't shout showstopper. The natural patina has turned a gorgeous turquiose color given it an authentic vintage charm.
Did you know? The brass coal scuttle, also known as a coal hod or coal bucket, was used particularly during the 18th and 19th centuries for indoor use, holding a small supply of coal for stoves or heaters. Some featured an extra element of design, like the lion heads and cermanic handle on this piece.
Condition: The brass scuttle is in good vintage condition. Patina is evident primarily on the handles, feet and spout, consistent with use and use. Minor wear marks are visible on both the outside and inside, and there is a small dent in the front (all visible in photos). The small rubber piece on one side of the handle has also begin to crack with age. If you would like more photos or video, or have any questions on the condition, please reach out as there are no refunds on this item.)
Measurements: From bottom to top of handle measures approximately 16.5in, 15.25in from front to back, 10in wide.
